When your going to use one of the ER verbs to descrive what your doing, you must change the ending.

These are the endings, you erase the ER at the end and put:

e    (je)

es  (tu)

e    (il/elle)

ons    (nous)

ez   (vous)

ent    (ils/elles)

Chanter- To sing

erase the ER

Chant

Now add the endings

chante    (je)

chantes    (tu)

chante    (il/elle)

chantons     (Nous)

chantez    (vous)

chantent    (ils/elles)

For verbs that end in gER   like manger (to eat) an e is added for the ons(nous) ending. So the ending is eons for gER verbs.
